About me

Choosing someone to craft a cake for your celebration is a big decision. You need someone you can trust while you concentrate on making memories. Here’s why you’re in safe hands with me…

Get to know me

Hi! I’m Louise. I create custom wedding and celebration cakes from my home kitchen in Swindon where I live with my partner Karl and our two cats Spike and Willow.

Why I do what I do

Quite simply I believe every celebration deserves good cake.

Have you ever been to a party, or even just a coffee shop, and been wowed by the fabulous looking cake but then disappointed when you taste it?  Me too! In fact I’ve actually stopped ordering cake when I’m out for a coffee because I know it will leave me wishing I hadn’t.

I’ve been baking since I was small, and since 2016 I’ve been creating custom cakes that taste every bit as good as they look.

Over the (ahem) years since my mum taught me to follow a recipe I’ve gone through more cookbooks than I can remember. I have finally gathered a suite of recipes that I trust – some straight from my bookshelf, others with my own enhancements.

I focus on flavour-first baking and breathtaking design so your cake is memorable for all the right reasons.

And I take quality control seriously, only offering cakes that I would eat myself. The end result is that I know exactly why my customers make such happy noises when they taste my creations. The unfortunate side-effect is that I’ve gone up a dress size since starting to make cakes full time!

My favourite style of cake

I love all cake styles, but my favourite features exquisitely delicate handmade sugar flowers. I love being able to take the focus flowers for a celebration and create them in sugar so they blend perfectly with party décor and are definitely safe to go on your cake without putting your guests at risk. It’s these tiny details that help your cake feel like a true part of the celebration – not just an add-on.

If you’re planning a celebration and want a cake that’s as thoughtful and delicious as the moment itself, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.
